Chicago, IL
The Windy City. As an intro to this location, let's talk food.
1) Steak- Chicago is all about the beef. Plenty of popular ones, such as the Chop House, Sullivan's, Ruth's Chris, etc. Do yourself a favor, and check out the Weber Grill restaurant. Tender, juicy steaks are cooked on huge Weber grills (the big charcoal grill you may have in your backyard). It's also about as inexpensive as you can get in Chicago while still getting a high quality steak. Low impact on the expense account...
2) Seafood- three words: Joe's Stone Crab. Go during stone crab season (Oct 15-May 15) and go for the claws. Incredible.
3) Pizza- deep dish is a whole new way to discover pizza. The two best spots are Giordano's in The Loop, or Pizzeria Uno, just north of the river- that's the same Pizzeria Uno as the chain, but this is the original location that the chain was designed after. The pies are deceivingly small- under order and you'll be fine.
